How we work.
How an engagement starts, how it's billed, what you can expect from us — and the full, unabridged list of what we don't do.
From first message to first session.
You get in touch
By form, email or phone. Tell us roughly what's going on — you don't need to know which service you want.
A short call
We work out what you actually need, and say plainly if part of it belongs with someone else.
A written scope
You get it in writing before anything starts — what's included, on which billing basis, and an estimate for larger work.
We start
One point of contact throughout. You're not re-explaining your situation to a new person each time.
Two services, two billing bases.
We don't publish a price list, because the right package genuinely depends on your situation. What we can be clear about is how each side is charged.
Fixed-price packages
Agreed as a block of sessions at a fixed cost before the engagement starts. Sessions are held by mutual agreement. No hourly meter running.
Hourly, in 15-minute increments
Billed by the hour, pro-rata per minute, so you pay for the time actually used — with a written estimate before any larger piece of work begins.
Asking for something new mid-engagement
You can request additional services at any point — in writing, by email, by message, by phone or in person. We'll confirm the scope and the basis it's charged on before starting, so nothing appears on an invoice you didn't agree to first.
Four things we hold ourselves to.
A real reply, quickly
You'll hear back from a person, not a ticketing system — typically within one business day.
A plan before a bill
We talk through what you actually need first, and put the scope in writing before larger work begins.
Straight answers
If something's outside what we do, we say so and point you to who can help — even when that costs us the work.
One point of contact
The same person across both the practical and the developmental side of your engagement.
Scope & Referrals
We're upfront about this because getting it right matters as much as the help we do provide. Where regulated advice is required, you're responsible for obtaining it from an appropriately qualified professional — and we'll help you find one.
- Immigration & visas — we are not a Registered Migration Agent. Anything touching visa conditions, applications or migration status is referred to one.
- Legal & tax advice — we are not lawyers or registered tax agents. We can help you find a qualified professional, but we don't provide this advice ourselves.
- Financial advice — we are not licensed financial advisers. Our financial-literacy mentoring covers general habits only — never specific products, investments or superannuation choices.
- Clinical & mental health support — our mentors are not counsellors, psychologists or therapists, and provide no clinical or therapeutic support of any kind.
- Real estate services — we're not a licensed real estate agent. We don't negotiate leases, sign on your behalf, hold money, or take commission from any landlord or agent.
- Recruitment & employment — we don't place or recruit, and we don't guarantee job placement, salary or contract outcomes.
- Guaranteed outcomes — mentoring outcomes depend on your own effort and circumstances. We commit to the work, not to a result.
